New York City College of Technology, nicknamed City Tech and also known as NYCCT, is a public college, part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system, and it is located in Brooklyn, which is the 2nd largest borough in area and the most populous one in New York City, with more than 2.5 million people, living within its limits.
City Tech was established in 1946 and is the largest four-year public college of technology in the northeastern United States. It is also one of the oldest institutions in the CUNY system, tracing its roots (indirectly) back to 1881, when Voorhees Technical Institute was founded in Manhattan.
The college currently offers its students more than 60 degree and certified programs, in a wide range of study area.
